The morning started out with the Emergency Room receiving a significant amount of critical trama injuries requiring ICU level care. Additional cases included: strangulated hernia, 3rd degree burns, small bowel abstruction and complicated lacerations. During the course of the day Dr. Amber Newell and Jennifer Silvey treated over 40 cases.

In the Operating Rooms the morning started slowly but by the end of the day the teams completed 13 cases that included 7 pediatric procedures. The anesthesia team usesd halothane after not using it for 25 years.

The team thought the day was productive and is ready for Tuesday.

At the end of the day the surgeons did pre-op rounds for Tuesday. The cases include: Hernias, mastectomy, cholecystectomy, abdominal mass and breast fibroadenoma.
