Malawi, Africa 2024
Operation Medical is pleased to report from Kamuzu Central Hospital in Malawi, Africa about our September 22-27, 2024 mission trip. Operation Medical returned to Malawi after last visiting in 2014 with a dedicated team of 20 medical staff and volunteers. We worked side by side with many talented members of a local team, completing 59 surgical procedures, and shared new techniques with local surgeons and physicians. We focused on providing excellent care for the patients, many who had to wait for months, sometimes for years due to a shortage of surgeons and providers in Malawi.
We are excited with our experience and the satisfaction of the local community, and look ahead to a future return!
