Malawi, Africa 2026

For the second time in less than a year, Operation Medical returned to Kabudula Community Hospital in Malawi, bringing together nine volunteers from 5 states to work alongside our partners from Access Health Africa (AHA). Working in a hospital with limited resources, our team responded with flexibility and cohesiveness, contributing their skills and knowledge, while learning from and relying on their teammates.

We treated 166 patients, and completed 182 medical procedures, addressing a wide range of surgical needs. Our team was also called upon to assist with five emergency C-sections during the week long mission. We are grateful for each opportunity and our bond with the hospital staff and people of Malawi strengthen with each return visit!
